Who are we?

Ability Beams is a residential care provider specialising in therapeutic services for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex behavioral needs. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stable environment where children can heal from past trauma, develop essential life skills, and build a strong foundation for their future.

Our Therapeutic Approach

We believe that true healing and growth stem from a holistic, trauma-informed approach . Our therapeutic model is built on the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE), which guides our daily interactions and care practices. Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to understand and address the function of a child's behavior, and Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI) to support the development of emotional regulation and secure relationships. We work within a multidisciplinary team of experienced therapists and care professionals to create personalised care plans for each child, focusing on their unique needs and strengths.

Our Staff Team

Our team is made up of skilled and compassionate professionals with experience in behavioural analysis, psychology, learning disabilities nursing, strategic management and leading governance. Our team also has extensive practice in residential care and respite services, making us well equipped to provide a stable and nurturing environment for children and young people in our care.
