David A.

David A. is the Founder and CEO of Ability Consultants, providing person-centred services with people with disabilities, professionals in disability and health, and disability support organisations. They are a grateful practitioner of Positive Behaviour Support and apply the principles of Person-Centred Therapy to leadership, business culture and investment. Previously, they served as a Senior Clinical Consultant and Behaviour Support Specialist with Ageing Disability and Home Care, Department of Human Services, delivering clinical assessment and intervention services for individuals with an intellectual disability who are leaving prison, and coordinating workplace training and ongoing behaviour support for funded organisations. They also held roles with Ageing Disability and Home Care, Family and Community Services NSW (2012–2014) as Senior Clinical Consultant, and with the Centre for Disability Studies (2016–2017) as Affiliate; Training and Development Officer, delivering the Person Centred Active Support Train the Trainer Program. They earned a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Technology Sydney between 2000 and 2004.
