Michael Maxwell

Michael Maxwell is a seasoned social planner and non-executive director with extensive experience in community development and education. Currently serving as the Manager Community at Blacktown City Council, Michael focuses on enhancing the liveability and wellbeing of one of Australia's largest local government areas. With postgraduate qualifications in social science, urban planning, and education, Michael contributes to various initiatives, including the Safe Communities movement and inclusive programs for disadvantaged youth through KOTO. They also engage in academic roles at TAFE NSW and Western Sydney University, delivering courses in human services and early childhood education. Through their leadership in multiple organizations, Michael remains dedicated to fostering social change and improving community outcomes.
