Ernie Chun has extensive experience in both professional sports and community engagement. Currently a Sales Associate at DICK'S Sporting Goods since September 2015, Ernie has also been an Ability360 HEAT Wheelchair Rugby Athlete since 2011, representing the Phoenix Heat quad rugby team in three National titles (2014, 2015, 2017) and mentoring new players. As a Team USA Wheelchair Rugby Athlete from 2012 to 2022, Ernie participated in significant competitions, including the American Zonals and Para-Pan-American Games. Ernie served on the Regional Advisory Council for the United States Rugby Association from 2018 to 2020, where responsibilities included discussing league policy and recommending athletes for development. Ernie's earlier roles include serving as the Student Director of Campus Relations at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2003-2006) and as a Marketing Representative for the YMCA of Honolulu (2002-2004), where marketing initiatives and event reporting were key achievements. Education was completed at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
