Stephen Cournane

Stephen Cournane is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in product development and research within the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Senior Product Development Engineer at Abiomed since January 2023, Stephen has previously held significant roles at Edwards Lifesciences from December 2017 to December 2022, including Senior R&D Director and Distinguished Engineer. Earlier career highlights include positions as Senior R&D Engineer at Harpoon Medical until its acquisition by Edwards, and as Senior Product Development Engineer at Dynasplint Systems. Stephen's foundational experience in engineering began at Boston Scientific and Stryker Orthopaedics.
