Jelena Nesic

Head of QC at Abionic

Jelena Nesic is currently the head of quality control at Abionic. Jelena has extensive experience in QC, having previously worked as an associate manager biochemistry at Merck Group and as a quality control expert at Shire. Jelena is responsible for leading and managing activities of the QC biochemistry lab personnel, ensuring timely completion of release testing and stability testing, analytical method transfer and analytical method validation. Jelena also oversees laboratory investigations, deviations, CAPAs and technical troubleshooting. In their previous roles, Jelena has been responsible for maintaining QC laboratories and facilities in audit and inspection readiness mode, identifying and managing continuous improvement projects, hiring and mentoring QC personnel, and ensuring effective team training for group activities, responsibilities and performance reviews. Jelena is also an expert in safety standards and compliance with applicable cGMP regulations.

Jelena Nesic's educational career includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships: visiting student at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry at University of Belgrade, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Chemistry at University of Belgrade.
