James Dishman is currently a Graduate Student Assistant in the User Experience Design Program at Kent State University, where responsibilities include researching, editing, and writing course materials while contributing to a textbook. Since January 2015, James has organized the Pittsburgh Ableton Live User’s Group. Previous experience includes roles as a Material Handler at Osmose, an Assistant Brewer and Cellarman at Four Points Brewing, and a Bartender at Roxian Live, all of which showcase a diverse skill set in both the brewing and hospitality industries. Additionally, from January 2012 to May 2022, James operated as both an Abstractor and Landman, specializing in title work and lease generation within the Appalachian Basin. James holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Pittsburgh and is pursuing a Master of Science in User Experience at Kent State University.
