Dave Smith

Dave Smith began their work experience as a Transportation Planner at Gabites Porter Consultants in 2000. Dave worked in this role until 2003. In 2003, they joined EziBuy as a Strategic Planning Analyst, responsible for sales forecasting and capacity planning. Dave then returned to Gabites Porter Consultants in 2004 as a Senior Transportation Planner, managing transportation models in New Zealand and Australia. In 2012, Dave joined Abley as an Associate, specializing in transportation research and planning. Dave was promoted to Technical Director - Transportation Planning in 2019, where they managed transportation research projects and led a team of specialists.

Dave Smith attended Massey University from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Operations Research. Prior to that, they also attended Massey University from 1991 to 1994 and earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Industrial Operations Research.
