Jay Baththana

Jay Baththana has a diverse work experience in the transportation engineering field. Jay started their career at Abley Transportation Consultants as a Transportation Engineer from January 2012 to July 2014. Jay then worked at GTA Consultants as a Consultant in Traffic & Transport from August 2014 to February 2016, where they gained experience in transportation consultancy and conducted road safety audits. Jay then joined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in the UK as an Engineer from July 2016 to July 2017, where they worked on high-profile projects and developed their skills as a professional engineer. Jay returned to Abley in October 2017 and currently holds the position of Senior Transportation Engineer, providing transport planning and road safety advice to both private and public sector clients. In October 2020, they were promoted to Principal Transportation Engineer at Abley.

Jay Baththana completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Operations Research and Statistics at The University of Auckland, which they pursued from 2006 to 2009. Later, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Engineering Studies (Transportation) degree in 2011.
