Agricultural lime is defined as material containing the necessary qualities to neutralize acidic soils, provide essential nutrients to promote plant growth (dolomite lime) with particle size between 200 mesh to 400 mesh.  Agricultural lime is also used to improve physical properties of soil.  The quality of agricultural lime is determined by the chemical makeup of the limestone and how finely it is in the ground.
