Peter Smith

Peter Smith is a seasoned operations executive with extensive experience in the vehicle services and rental industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Operations at ABM Industries since November 2016, Peter leads nationwide Vehicle Services and Parking operations in the southeastern US, managing over 200 business units and approximately 2,500 employees, generating $92 million in revenue. Prior to this role, Peter held the position of Regional Director of Operations at GCA Services Group for a brief period, overseeing services for the car rental industry in the central US with responsibilities for over $35 million in revenue. Peter's past experience includes a successful tenure at Hertz Equipment Rental as Region Vice President for the Central Region, where operations spanned 48 locations and contributed $287 million in annual revenue. Earlier roles at Hertz Corporation also included managing operations in both the Northeast US and Canada, focusing on profit and loss, fleet management, and customer service across multiple locations. Peter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maine.
