Sheldon Smith

Sheldon Smith is a Product Owner for Trade Finance at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. since November 2023, focusing on core trade finance products, systems, and reporting. Prior to this role, Sheldon held various positions at Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking from January 2019 to October 2023, including Credit Manager for Non-Bank Financial Institutions, where responsibilities centered on credit risk management, as well as roles as Senior Associate and Associate in Product related to documentary trade and trade finance products. Sheldon began the career as a Graduate Trainee in the Global Business Unit. Academic qualifications include a Certificate in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online, an Honours Baccalaureus Commercii in Economics and Risk Management from North-West University, a Higher Certificate in International Trade from the International Trade Institute of Southern Africa, and a BCom in Economics and Risk Management from North-West University.
