Syrena Powell is currently the First Vice President and Research and Development Director at Aboitiz Group, where they lead innovative initiatives in the field. They have been with Cargill Animal Nutrition since 2017 as Global Research & Development Director for Poultry, overseeing the development of new products and collaborating with strategic teams globally. Previously, from 2010 to 2015, they served as Regional Technology Deployment Manager for Cargill, focusing on poultry research in Asia. Syrena also has a solid educational background, holding a PhD in Animal Nutrition from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. Earlier in their career, they contributed to the education sector as a Grade Supervisor and Senior Teacher at the Ministry of Education in Jamaica.
