Michael Childers

Michael Childers has extensive experience in the inflight communications and entertainment industry, currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Advisors at ABOVE since April 2022. As an independent journalist with UKIP Media & Events since November 2009, Michael contributes to prominent magazines such as Aircraft Interiors International and Inflight Entertainment International. As the Principal and Chief Consultant at Lightstream Communications Group since 1996, Michael has worked with notable clients including Lufthansa Systems, Thales Avionics, and SmartJog. Michael held the role of Chief Consultant for Content and Media Strategy at Lufthansa Systems from October 2011 to March 2024, focusing on content acquisition and media strategies for various markets. Prior to that, Michael served as Managing Director of Content & Media Development at The IMS Company from June 2006 to June 2009. Michael's educational background includes studies at UCLA and Washington University in St. Louis.
