Alan Lamb is the Head of HTA and Market Access Policy at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), a position held since 2025. Previously, Lamb worked at NICE as a Scientific Adviser from 2019 to 2022 and has held roles in health economics at Novo Nordisk and MSD in the UK. Earlier experience includes serving as a Medical Writer and Publication Planner at Roche and as a Medical Education Consultant at inVentiv Health Commercial. Lamb earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Glasgow.
