The first dedicated early-stage Deep Tech fund in the MENA region (GCC including KSA and North Africa).

The MENA/GCC regions stand out as one of the world's most vibrant and rapidly expanding economic landscapes, offering an exceptional breeding ground for deep tech innovation and investment.

With robust economies, substantial local and foreign capital infusion into the tech sector, and a dynamic corporate ecosystem, this region provides a unique platform for startups to flourish and achieve substantial gains upon exit.

Focus on Deep Tech: ABRA's particular focus on deep tech (AI-Driven technologies, Industry 4.0, Blockchain), SaaS solutions including Fintech, AgriTech and ClimateTech is also a consistent feature of the Team’s strategy, avoiding ballooning valuations and technology fads.

ABRA Investment strategy is economic cycle proof as we invest in B-to-B with a strong emphasis on sustainable Business model.

This is our Fund Manager’s/CIO’s (Simon Tobelem) fifth Deep Tech fund. His last fund made 20 investments; 8 of which saw a successful exit, 10 more of which continue to scale and progress, and only 2 of which failed. Typically in VC, one would expect 80% of investments to FAIL, or just return their investment, and only 20% succeeding.

With statistics like this of an 80% SUCCESS rate, Simon displays his unique ability and innate acumen for shrewd VC investment, with a heavy emphasis on active participation in investee companies in order to drive value creation.

Moreover, his first fund saw a return of 11 times its money to its investors, and still ranks as one of the top-performing VC funds ever.
