Alan Rowsell

Alan Rowsell has extensive experience in investment management, currently serving as Investment Director for Global Smaller Companies at Standard Life Investments since June 2006, where responsibility includes managing the Standard Life Global Smaller Companies fund. Prior to this role, Alan was Senior Vice President for US Equities, functioning as an analyst and portfolio manager. Previous experience includes serving as Assistant Director for US Equities and Private Client Portfolio Manager at Singer & Friedlander from 1997 to 2005, as well as a Management Associate at Cazenove from 1996 to 1997. Alan began a career in economic research as an Economic Research Assistant at H.M. Treasury from 1994 to 1995. Alan holds a BSc Hons in Economics & Politics from the University of Bath, completed between 1992 and 1996, with earlier education at St. Austell College and Penrice School.
