Emma Herd is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the financial sector, particularly in auditing and operations management. Beginning a career as an External Auditor at KPMG UK from August 1999 to April 2005, Emma developed expertise in auditing financial institutions, including insurance and banking. Following this, a significant tenure at Standard Life spanned from April 2005 to March 2010, where Emma held various roles, including Head of Corporate Enablement and Governance and Group/UK Internal Audit. Emma then continued at Standard Life Aberdeen from January 2013 to March 2020 as Head of Pricing and Controls. More recently, leadership roles at abrdn, including Head of Commercial and Fund Accounting and Director of Commercial and Client Operations in 2022, led to the current position as Head of Client and Regulatory Operations at Aberdeen, starting in March 2024.
