Ian Smith

Ian Smith is currently the Head of UK Workplace & Premises at abrdn, where they oversee all aspects of workplace management, including building fit-outs and decommissions. They have held a variety of roles within abrdn since 2015, including Senior Project Manager and IT Project Manager, leading numerous high-profile projects throughout their tenure. Ian has also gained extensive experience in IT project management at several organizations, including Sainsbury's Bank, Tesco Personal Finance, GE Capital, and Morgan Stanley, contributing to significant infrastructure and IT builds. They earned an MA in Mathematics from the University of Aberdeen in 1993.
