Michael Schumann

Michael Schumann is a Fund Manager at abrdn. Prior to their current position, Michael was the Sales Director at House of Gritty from October 2012 to August 2016.

At House of Gritty, Michael was responsible for finding quality products that were in demand and fit the needs of Danish customers. Michael worked with various brands, both domestic and international, to provide the best possible products to consumers at a competitive price.

Michael has a long history of working in sales, dating back to when they and their business partner, Grith Wettendorff Schumann, founded House of Gritty with the goal of making good design accessible to everyone. Together, they have experience selling everything from buttons and jewelry to bricks - always with a focus on the customer.

Now at abrdn, Michael continues to use their keen eye for finding quality products and services that consumers will love. Michael is dedicated to their work and always puts the needs of their clients first.

Michael Schumann has a degree in management of shopping centers from the Nordic Council of Shopping Centers. Michael also has a degree in real estate from Lyngby Uddannelsescenter and a degree in business administration from Fredericia Handelsskole.

They are on a team with Troels Brøndum Andersen - Fund Manager, Bjarke Bendix Cloos - Head of Direct Real Estate, and Alexander Mose - Associate Director, Business Development. Their manager is Henrik Kruse, Head of Distribution Nordics & Office Head Denmark.
