Rod started his career at Standard Life Investments as Head of Global Fixed Income in May 2002, was appointed to the Board in June 2004 and has been Chief Investment Officer since 2007. He was previously Managing Director and Head of the Global Fixed Income team at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Prior to this, Rod was a director of Mercury Asset Management and also worked with Warburg Asset Management and Chase Manhattan Bank. Rod was appointed to the board of Standard Life Aberdeen plc in August 2017.
