John Stobo

John joined ABS Capital's investment team in 1993 and has helped many portfolio companies capitalize on growth opportunities through periods of dramatic change and regulatory shifts. John is one of two managing partners who oversees the investment process, mentors the firm's investment partners, and raises capital for the fund. With several decades of experience in the healthcare sector, he can share his significant expertise to help companies identify and address issues and opportunities, stay focused on long-term goals, and guide investments through changing regulatory environments. Prior to joining ABS, John worked in Alex. Brown & Sons’ Health Care Investment Banking Group where he advised clients on public offerings and M&A strategies.

John works in ABS's San Francisco office. John is an exercise enthusiast who enjoys being on the water. He likes to swim and fish as well as paddleboard on the San Francisco Bay.
