Stephen Abott

Stephen Abott is a seasoned professional in the fields of cybersecurity and policy analysis, currently serving as a Senior Principal Consultant at ABS Group since January 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Operations Analyst at The Select Group and Cyber Security Program Analyst at ICF. Stephen's foundational work in cybersecurity began at ANSER, where contributions included serving as Senior Analyst in the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute (HSSAI). Significant achievements include co-leading efforts to align cyber-physical systems standards with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and developing inter-agency response simulations for large-scale terrorist attacks. Stephen holds an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Political Science from Union College, complemented by diverse experiences from internships and volunteer work, including with the Peace Corps in Romania.
