Alex Albuquerque

Alex Albuquerque has a diverse work experience spanning over 24 years. Alex began their career as a Marine Soldier in the Brazilian Navy and later transitioned to the role of Deck Cadet. After leaving the Navy, they joined Maersk Supply Service as a 1st Officer Navigator, where they gained experience in deep water operations and anchor handling. Alex then moved to Maersk Line as a Stowage Coordinator before taking on the role of Chartering and Operations Manager at Maersk Supply Service.

In 2011, Alex joined Maersk Training as the Sales and Marketing General Manager, where they contributed to the growth of the company. Alex then joined P&O Maritime Logistics as a Business Development Manager, responsible for maximizing contact with key accounts and generating new inquiries for the business. Alex later took on the role of Country Manager, leading the implementation of strategic plans and identifying new business opportunities.

In 2020, Alex joined AB Klaipėdos Nafta as the Managing Director of KN Brazil. In this position, they were responsible for the smooth operation of the LNG Terminal and the implementation of a project for natural gas power plants, which is the largest in Latin America.

Alex'smost recent position is as the Senior Director of Business Development at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where they are involved in developing new business opportunities.
