Starting in 2002, Amba worked as a Product Development Engineer at Audco India Limited, where they were responsible for new product development and customization of CAD/CAM tools. Amba then moved on to work as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah, focusing on fire and explosion simulation. In 2005, Amba joined Smith International Inc. as a Lead Engineer, leading the migration of engineering systems and providing solutions for critical business issues.

In 2010, Amba joined Schlumberger and held several leadership roles, including Technology Manager and Customer Performance Center Manager. During their time at Schlumberger, they led global teams, managed product development needs for clients in the oil and gas industry, and oversaw the digital transformation of a multi-million dollar business.

More recently, Amba joined the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) as Vice President of Digital Engineering, where they are responsible for developing the company's digital strategy and driving revenue growth.
