Andrea Steiger

Andrea Steiger is a Research and Development Program Manager at Absci since June 2022, with prior experience as Scientist II and Scientist I. Before joining Absci, Andrea worked at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory from January 2019 to June 2022 as a Chemical Biologist and Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Biology, focusing on developing small molecule probes for isolating pathogenic microbes. Andrea earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Oregon, where studies included controllable synthetic hydrogen sulfide donors and teaching undergraduate organic chemistry. Andrea began a chemistry career at the College of Wooster, contributing as a Clare Boothe Luce Research Scholar and Sophomore Researcher.
