David Eavarone

David Eavarone serves as the Senior Director and Head of High-Throughput Screening in AI Biologics Discovery and Engineering at Absci since November 2023, previously holding roles as Director and Associate Director in the same field. Prior to Absci, David worked at Nabla Bio, Inc. as a Senior Scientist, where an antibody engineering wetlab was established. David has also contributed to HARBOUR BIOMED as an Associate Principal Scientist, leading a bispecific antibody program for tumor immunotherapy, and served as a Senior Scientist at Siamab Therapeutics, focusing on immuno-oncology and antibody engineering. Earlier experience includes roles at Visterra Inc. and a decade at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where key contributions involved the development of novel chemotherapeutics and the nanotechnology-based chemotherapy platform, the Nanocell. David Eavarone holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from MIT, along with a Master’s in Bioengineering and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
