Jared Sharp

Jared Sharp is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in biopharmaceutical development, currently serving as Associate Director at Absci since July 2020, where responsibilities include leading a team of over 15 scientists in Downstream Process Development for biologics. Previously, Jared held various leadership roles at Patheon from July 2016 to June 2020, managing teams focused on Analytical and Formulation Sciences, and was instrumental in developing methods and conducting stability studies for cell line development projects. Prior to that, Jared was a Principal Supervising Scientist at Affinivax Inc. from August 2014 to June 2016, overseeing pneumococcal vaccine development and managing collaborations with contract research organizations. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware and a PhD in Molecular Genetics, Microbiology, and Immunology from Rutgers University. Jared also conducted post-doctoral research at Boston Children's Hospital and engaged in undergraduate research at the University of Delaware.
