John M. Sutton

John M. Sutton, Ph.D. currently serves as Group Lead of Computational Biology at Absci since May 2021, where responsibilities include leading a team in high throughput antibody screening, experimental design, NGS analysis, AI and wet-lab team coordination, and bioinformatic pipeline development. Prior to this role, John held various positions such as Senior Computational Biologist, Scientist II, and Sequencing Scientist at The University of Alabama from August 2016 to May 2021, where dissertation research focused on the genomics of acetylene-consuming microbes and involved extensive bioinformatic analyses. John earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from The University of Alabama in 2021 and a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016.
