Steve Luplow is the VP of Software Development at Absio. Steve has over 9 years of experience in the software development industry and has been with Absio for over 3 years. Prior to their current position, Steve served as a Java Architect & Consultant with Absio Corporation from September 2011 to May 2012. In this role, they participated in agile development using daily scrums, biweekly sprints and unit test creation and writing. Steve also utilized JIRA to assist with the management of epics, stories, tasks and issues.

As an architect consultant, Steve reviewed and reorgnaized the Android implementation of Absio’s secure messaging application which resulted in a more organized package structure ready for modularization. Steve also re-architected Absio’s Android secure messaging application core to create an API for external/third-party access to the application and allow for access from multiple applications (separate Service accessed via AIDL/IPC). Additionally, Steve modified the user interface to interact with the new core as an API and reorganized/re-architected the Android development environment to be modular and therefore reusable (including a rewrite of their existing maven poms). This allowed for more focused development and unit tests. Any code that was not Android specific was now available for use in a non-Android project.

Mentoring new Java developers in more advanced Java/Object Oriented concepts was another key responsibility of Steve’s during their time at Absio Corporation. Steve taught them design patterns as well as ways to leverage their development tools which
