Brian G. is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Principal Threat Research Engineer at Abstract Security since November 2025. Prior to this role, Brian held various positions including Director of Operations and Principal Threat Researcher at RedSense from October 2022 to November 2025, and Senior Staff Security Research Engineer at Palo Alto Networks for a brief period in 2022. With extensive experience as a Senior Threat Analyst at both Sumo Logic and JASK, as well as roles at IBM, Aetna, and the Software Engineering Institute, Brian's background encompasses incident response, security data analytics, vulnerability management, and systems administration. Brian obtained a Master’s degree in Information Security and Assurance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
