D. Matthew Eby has extensive experience in life sciences and public health consulting, currently serving as the Vice President at Abt Global since 2024. Previously, Eby was the Chief Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2012 to 2024, where they focused on program management and business development for Federal clients. Eby also worked as a Program Manager and Senior Scientist at Universal Technology Corporation from 2006 to 2012, contributing to research in antimicrobial biomaterials and biocorrosion science. Earlier in their career, Eby held postdoctoral fellowships at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (2002-2006) and the University of Georgia (2002-2003), specializing in molecular biology, genetic engineering, and microbiology. Eby earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from The University of Georgia in 2001.
