Joy Burns

Joy Burns, PhD, currently serves as a Health Research Monitoring and Evaluation Associate at Abt Global since October 2020. Previously, Joy worked as a Health Research Scientist at Georgia State School of Public Health from August 2014 to October 2020 and as a Certified Counselor for Gwinnett County Public Schools from August 2005 to May 2014. Joy's career began as a Health Insurance Specialist at Fortnum from August 1997 to August 2005. Joy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Georgia State School of Public Health, a Master of Education in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University.
