Umar Naeem Ahmad has extensive experience in the healthcare field. In 2010, they began their career as an Intern for the World Health Organization, followed by Elective Training at Mae Tao Clinic and Public Health Researcher at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blantyre. In 2013, they moved to Hopital Bicetre as a Clinical Researcher and in 2014, they became an EBOLA TREATMENT UNIT PHYSCIAN at EMERGENCY ONG Onlus. In 2015, they took on the role of Lead Physician - Inpatient and TB Unit at Bairo Pite Clinic. In 2017, they founded TIMED, followed by a role as an NHS Doctor at NHS in 2011. In 2020, they became a Trustee - EMERGENCY UK at EMERGENCY ONG Onlus and in 2018, they were appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Abtrace.

Umar Naeem Ahmad has an extensive education history. In 2007, they completed a Master of Arts in Pre-Clinical Medicine and Mechanisms of Disease from the University of Cambridge. In 2010, they obtained an MSc in Global Health and Development from UCL. In 2011, they earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from UCL. In 2013, they received an MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians. Finally, in 2014, they obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London.
