Jennifer Walker

GM, In Vivo Discovery Services at Abveris

Jennifer Walker is the current Director of Discovery Operations at Abveris. Jennifer has over ten years of experience in the scientific field, with a focus on antibody production, autoimmune disease, immune deficiency, lymphocyte biology, cancer biology, and ER stress. Jennifer has a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Maine, and their dissertation was titled "The Ttc7-fsn Mutation Alters Protein Structures, Diminishes Interaction with PI4KIIIa, and skews B Cell Differentiation Toward the Production of Autoreactive Plasma Cells".

Jennifer has worked as a Lab Assistant/Student Mentor, Immunology Lab Instructor, Chemistry Lab Assistant, and Internship Supervisor. Jennifer has also been very active in educational outreach, serving as a guest speaker at local schools, science fair judge, and mentor to high school students interested in science careers.

Jennifer Walker has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maine, an M.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern Maine, and a BA in Biology & Anthropology from Franklin Pierce University. Jennifer is certified by the State of Maine to teach Grades 7-12 Life Sciences and Grades 7-12 Physical Sciences.

Jennifer Walker reports to Tracey Mullen, CEO. They work with Alex Lopez - Manager of Animal Programs, Robert Dubuc III - Director of Business Development, and Colby Souders - Chief Scientific Officer.
