Gary Waanders

Gary Waanders is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in investor relations and equity research within the biotechnology and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Investor Relations and Communications at AC Immune since November 2021, Gary previously held roles such as Vice President of Investor Relations at Medigene AG and Managing Director of UK Healthcare Research at Bryan, Garnier & Co., where equity research focused on European and UK biotech companies. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Healthcare Research at Zeus Capital, Director of Equity Research at Nomura Code Securities, and Biotech Analyst at KBC Peel Hunt. Early in the career, Gary was a Project Leader at DiagnoCure and a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. Gary holds an MBA from Durham University and a BSc (Hons) and PhD in Immunology from Monash University.
