Tom de Wolf

Tom De Wolf's work experience includes roles such as Data Mesh Belgium Meetup Founder and Host at ACA Group, where they founded and hosted meetups to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences in data mesh. Tom has a strong belief in collaboration and established a developer community within their organization as the Collectiv Developer Community Lead. Tom also served as the Lead Architect of a software factory, where they focused on achieving an evolutionary architectural platform.

Earlier in their career, Tom worked as a Java Software Solution Engineer and held roles such as Lead Architect and Scrum Master, Scrum Master and Agile Coach, Architect, and Solution Engineer at various organizations, gaining experience in software development and architecture.

Before their industry career, Tom worked as a researcher at the Department of Computer Science at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, where they focused on decentralised and distributed systems.

Tom De Wolf earned a PhD in Engineering and Computer Science from KU Leuven from 2002 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Computer Science at KU Leuven from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained a secondary education degree in Algemeen Secundair Onderwijs with a focus on Wetenschappen - Wiskunde from sint aloysius college geel from 1992 to 1998. In 2019 to 2020, Tom De Wolf attended SyntraPXL to study Stripauteur - Comic book artist, although no specific degree was mentioned.
