Robert Tucker has worked in various roles since 2010. In 2010, they were a Consultant at StreamGuys, where they built and validated a new virtualized architecture for the StreamGuys streaming media platform. In 2011, they were a DevOps Engineer at Lyris, where they managed, architected and built development and production VMware Vsphere infrastructure. In 2012, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at PowerReviews, and as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Bazaarvoice, where they administered Centos/RHEL, Tomcat/Apache, Postgres, Solr, Endeca platform and automated configuration management using Puppet. In 2013, they were the Devops Team Manager at Change.org, where they grew a strong team of seven from a team of two, managed site operations through exponential growth, and brought uptime to 99.94%. In 2016, they were the Head of Security, Infrastructure and Environments, and Director of Engineering at RaiseMe. In 2018, they were an Advisor at Alembic, where they worked with a pre-seed startup to build an initial proof-of-concept for a MarComm platform. In 2019, they were the Platform Team Manager at Element, where they were responsible for delivery of the AssetHub platform in each customer environment, development and deployment tooling in multiple cloud providers, platform security assessments and mitigation, and AssetHub reliability and observability. In 2020, they were a Senior DevOps Engineer - Acting Tech Lead at Insight Global (for PG&E). Currently, they are the Director of Infrastructure Engineering at Academia.edu.

Robert Tucker attended Humboldt State University from 2006 to 2009, studying Environmental Resources Engineering.
