Academic Med is a retained executive search and strategic advisory firm focused exclusively on academic medicine.

We partner with Deans, Health System CEOs, and executive leadership teams at leading Academic Medical Centers, Universities, and Research Institutes to recruit transformational leaders and high-impact faculty. Our work spans Department Chairs, Center Directors, Division Chiefs, and senior physician executives, as well as faculty physicians, clinician-scientists, and research leaders across all major specialties.

Our approach goes beyond recruitment. We advise institutions on leadership strategy, organizational structure, and talent alignment—helping our clients build and scale clinical programs, expand research enterprise, and develop Centers of Excellence that drive long-term institutional growth.

With a national network and a disciplined retained search process, Academic Med is trusted to deliver both senior leadership and mission-critical faculty hires. We are a strategic partner to institutions seeking to strengthen their clinical, research, and academic missions through exceptional talent.
