Oliver Olson

Oliver Olson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Oliver is currently working as a Sr. Lecturer at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, where their school has recently been acquired by Maastricht University. Prior to this, they served as the Director of European Operations at the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP).

Oliver has also held various positions at the Association for Transnational Higher Education Accreditation (ATHEA), including Executive Director, Member Board of Directors, and Member Board of Commissioners.

Before joining ATHEA, Oliver worked at Maastricht School of Management, where they held several roles including Senior Lecturer of Marketing & Strategy, Academic Coordinator, and Director Global Education Programs. Oliver was also the Founder and Managing Director of Global Educational Services SRL. Additionally, Oliver served as a Founding Partner and Member of the Executive Committee at Maastricht School of Management Romania.

Oliver's experience also includes working as the President of Mama Alice, a volunteer role for a charitable organization. Oliver has also served as the Academic Director at Lafferty Banking Academy and held various roles at CEU Business School, including Country Manager, Romania; Director of Degree Programs Administration; and MBA Director.

Earlier in their career, Oliver worked as the CIO at The First State Bank, Celina. Overall, Oliver Olson has a strong background in academics, accreditation, and international higher education, with significant experience in leadership and governance roles.

Oliver obtained a Fellow certification from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2019.

From 2000 to 2002, they pursued an MBA degree in International Business from The University of Texas at Dallas.

In the years 1992 to 1995, Oliver studied International Business with a focus on German at Cal State Fullerton, College of Business and Economics.

Oliver completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from College of the Sequoias between 1989 and 1991.

In 1988 to 1989, Oliver participated in a program called Up With People, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.

Additionally, Oliver obtained a certification as a Section4 Certified Brand Strategist from Section4 in December 2021.
