Gemma Smith is currently the Assistant Director of Competition Exemptions at the ACCC, where they focus on competition and consumer law. They are a final year Juris Doctor student at Melbourne Law School, having previously completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a focus on Finance and Marketing at the University of Melbourne. Gemma has gained diverse legal experience through various seasonal clerkships and internships, including roles at King & Wood Mallesons, Lander & Rogers, and within the ACCC's Corporate Law and Competition and Consumer Law Units. Additionally, they served as the Marketing & Publications Officer for the Melbourne University Law Students' Society and have volunteered as a paralegal at the Law and Advocacy Centre for Women.
