Steven Kopec has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Steven is currently the Head of Service Management and Information Security at Accedo.tv since September 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Service Management from April 2017 to October 2021, overseeing customer support, managed services, internal IT, and information security.
Before joining Accedo.tv, Steven worked at Movideo as the Director of Customer Success from March 2015 to March 2016, where they led support processes and metrics development, resulting in a significant reduction in support interactions. Steven was also responsible for customer onboarding, project management, and professional services support.
Steven has also held various management positions at Turner Broadcasting System, including Director of Broadcast and Media Technology, Director of Emerging Technology, Global Transport and Security Specialist, and Manager of Global Information Security. At Turner, they were responsible for product management, architecture, deployment, and support of technology platforms across the company's business in Asia Pacific.
Prior to Turner, Steven worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at Emory University from 1999 to 2000. Steven also served as a Senior Systems Technologist at Sun Microsystems from 1997 to 1999 and as a Systems Administrator at Emory University from 1993 to 1997.
Throughout their career, Steven has demonstrated expertise in service management, information security, customer success, project management, and technology platforms.
Steven Kopec attended Spring Valley High School from 1983 to 1987 and obtained a Secondary School Diploma. Following that, they enrolled at the University of South Carolina from 1987 to 1990 and studied Mathematics and Computer Science. In 2012, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance.
