Greg Williams is a Managing Director at Accel-KKR focused on the firm’s growth capital investments.

Prior to joining Accel-KKR, Greg was a Managing Director at CapitalSource, a leader in middle-market commercial finance, where he ran the Technology & Communications Group. Previously, he worked in venture capital with the Sturm Group where he co-managed a $500 million fund focused on technology and communications, and from 1995 to 2000 with JP Morgan in New York in Mergers & Acquisitions and Technology Investment Banking. Prior to graduate school, he worked with Bond Corporation in Perth, Western Australia and with Fleet Financial Group as analyst in Media & Communications.

Greg’s current board seats include: Cendyn, ESO, Kimble, Safeguard Global, and Vistex.

Greg’s former selected directorships include: Acumatica (acquired by EQT in 2019), Cielo (acquired by Permira in 2019), Clavis Insight (acquired by Ascential PLC, LON: ASCL, in 2017), Episerver (acquired by Insight Venture Partners in 2018), N-able Technologies (acquired by SolarWinds, NYSE: SWI, in 2013), One.com (acquired by Cinven in 2019), PageUp People (acquired by Battery Ventures in 2017), PrismHR (current and prior to its acquisition by Summit Partners), RiseSmart (acquired by Randstad, AMS: RAND, in 2015) and Zinc Ahead (acquired by Veeva, NYSE: VEEV, in 2015).

Greg received his M.B.A. from the Darden School at University of Virginia and his A.B. in History from Harvard College.
