CEO and Chain Reaction Innovations Fellow at Accelerate Wind

Erika Boeing has a diverse work experience that spans across different sectors and roles. In 2017, they became the CEO and Chain Reaction Innovations Fellow at Accelerate Wind, where they focused on developing a low-cost alternative to distributed wind energy generation. Erika was also selected for the second cohort of Chain Reaction Innovations at Argonne National Lab, working alongside ANL scientists.

In 2018, Erika joined the Fulbright Association as an Alumni Ambassador, where they represented and promoted the association. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as an Independent Contractor for Freelance Sustainability and Engineering Consultancy, providing their expertise as a sustainability and engineering consultant.

Erika also gained research experience as a Research Fellow at Project Drawdown, an initiative focused on assembling and presenting information on climate solutions. The research culminated in the book "Drawdown," which became the best-selling environmental book in 2017.

Earlier in their career, Erika worked as a Systems Engineer at DRS Technologies from 2010 to 2016. Erika also served as a Fulbright Fellow at Maastricht University from 2014 to 2015.

Prior to that, Erika gained internship experiences at DRS SSI as a Cornwell Student Intern in 2008 and 2009, and at NASA Glenn Research Center as a Mechanical Components Branch Intern in 2007.

Erika Boeing received their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in 2010. Erika later pursued their Master's degree in European Studies on Society, Science, and Technology at Maastricht University, graduating in 2015. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications such as Associate Systems Engineering Professional from INCOSE, Simscaele Professional Certification in CFD and FEA from SimScale GmbH, Systems Engineering Certificate from California Institute of Technology, and TRIZ Associate Certification from Altshuller Institute.
