James VanOsdol is a seasoned media relations manager, marketer, storyteller, broadcast and production expert, and award-winning journalist. They built their name in Chicago media by contributing to major stations such as WKQX, WGN, WLUP, and WXRT, and have honed their marketing and digital skills at various innovative startups and organizations. Since August 2021, James has thrived in multiple roles at Accenture, currently serving as Communications Manager within the Media Relations team. They have earned numerous awards throughout their journalism career, including multiple Lisagor awards and a national Edward R. Murrow award, and their podcast, "Car Con Carne," was recognized as the "Best Music Podcast" by the Chicago Reader in 2022 and 2023.
