Dr. Rafael Ochoa is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board at Reactive Technologies and a part-time Senior Consultant at Sentient Energy. Ochoa retired from Accenture in late 2020 as a Managing Director, where they specialized in utilities and grid operations, and led Accenture's Global Practice on Distributed Energy Resources and Distribution Grid Operations. With over 29 years of experience in transmission and distribution segments, Ochoa has made significant contributions to advanced Distribution Management Systems and has authored various papers in the T&D industry, alongside obtaining two patents in storm prediction and power systems reliability. Ochoa holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Metropolitan University in Mexico City, as well as an MS and PhD in Power Systems from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology.
