Sharon Smith

Sharon Smith is an accomplished educator and technology professional with extensive experience in various roles. As a Mathematics Teacher at Metro Nashville Public Schools from 2003 to 2015, Sharon was a National Board Certified Teacher responsible for teaching high school mathematics and AP Computer Science, achieving high student outcomes. Following that, Sharon served as an Administrative Assistant at Nashville Organized for Action and Hope, supporting community advocacy efforts. Sharon also worked as a Self-Employed Technical Writer from 1990 to 2002, collaborating with teams to create essential documentation. Currently, Sharon is an Application Development Senior Analyst at Accenture, focusing on business analysis and testing within a DevSecOps team. Additionally, Sharon is a founding member of Germantown Commons of Tennessee, the first cohousing community in the state, and completed a Junior Software Developer program at Nashville Software School. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Education from Tennessee State University and a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University, graduating summa cum laude.
