Duain Christensen

Duain Christensen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Duain started their career as a Unix System Administrator at Krumm & Associates in 1994, where they managed data backups, analyzed cost savings, and troubleshooted and repaired tape drives. In 2000, they joined Ourhouse.com as a Unix System Administrator, where they installed and maintained Broad Vision and Netscape Suitespot.

In 2001, Duain joined McKesson Information Solutions as a Senior Unix System Administrator, where they installed and maintained test Linux Iptables firewalls, Tripwire IDS system, and provided input for developing secure applications.

From 2004 to 2011, they worked at Health Care Service Corporation as a Lead Systems Architect Consultant, where they designed and supported Linux standard build, and installed and maintained AIX and Linux servers.

In 2011, Duain joined Ifbyphone.com as a Systems Engineer, where they installed and maintained Openldap server, mod_ldap, and Amazon EC2 instances.

From 2012, Duain worked at Accertify, Inc., starting as a Senior Systems Administrator and later progressing to a DevOps Manager. As a Senior Systems Administrator, they performed application deployments and wrote Ansible playbooks to automate system maintenance and tool installations. As a DevOps Manager, they managed a global team of DevOps engineers, communicated and escalated issues, and maintained operational and configuration procedures.

Duain Christensen attended Triton College from 1998 to 2000, although the degree name and field of study are unknown. In addition, Duain obtained the American Express & Harvard Certificate in Leadership Excellence from Harvard Business Publishing in January 2019.
