Suvendu Rout

Suvendu Rout has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting in 2007, they co-founded We and Environment and remained in that role until 2016. In 2009, they worked as a Professional Expert (Consultant) for the Gujarat State Watershed Management Agency (GSWMA), where they played a key role in implementing the Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP). From 2012 to 2016, Suvendu held various positions at MART, a company focused on solving complex social and environmental issues, where they were responsible for establishing the Gujarat state unit, leading teams, and producing high-quality reports. In 2016, they joined Ambuja Cements Ltd. as the Head of the Social, Economic & Development Initiatives (SEDI) division, and later went on to work at Samhita Social Ventures and Pink City Rickshaw Company. In 2017, Suvendu became a Director at Zingnzest Private Limited, and in 2021, they assumed the role of Director at Ode to Earth. Most recently, they joined ACCESS Development Services in 2019, first as an Associate Vice President and then as the Vice President. Additionally, in 2022, Suvendu co-founded Stamped Moments.

Suvendu Rout began their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Utkal University, which they completed in 1996. Suvendu then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics with a focus on Mathematical Economics at Berhampur University from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Berhampur University. In 2006, Suvendu obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including an MDP from IIM Lucknow and a Master Trainer certification from Pearson India in 2019 and 2015, respectively. Suvendu also completed certifications in RSBC (Rural Small Business Consultants) from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India and SWIFT- Computer basics from NIIT Limited in 2006 and 2005, respectively.
