Paul Gaskell, PhD's work experience is as follows:

- Access Intelligence Plc (2022 - Present): Group Chief Technology Officer, responsible for leading a department of around 110 technologists covering Data Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Development Operations, Cyber Security, and IT Infrastructure, with teams distributed over Europe, Asia, and Australia. Paul is also involved in building machine learning solutions for media intelligence.

- BlackRock (2019 - 2022): Vice President - Machine Learning Engineering, where they led a team of data scientists and engineers building solutions for investors in private markets. Paul developed a system for extracting financially relevant content from complex documents using graph neural networks and large language models, resulting in a patent filing.

- Bloomberg LP (2016 - 2019): Data Science Manager, leading a data science group focused on data collection across multiple financial asset classes. Paul also built the first solutions at Bloomberg that achieved human-level performance on reference data collection tasks. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist - Equities Data from 2016 to 2017.

- Switch Concepts (2012 - 2016): Lead/Principal Data Scientist Ad Trading Platform, where they developed a data strategy for a high-growth ad-tech startup. Paul Gaskell, PhD, completed their education at various prestigious institutions. In 2006, they pursued a Master's Degree in Environmental Economics at the University of Leeds, which lasted until 2007. Later, from 2010 to 2011, Paul attended the University of Southampton for another Master's Degree in Web Science. Finally, they attained their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Web Science, specializing in Machine Learning, NLP, and Finance, from the University of Southampton between 2011 and 2015.
